Seller Protection
How seller-related issues are reviewed on eBuy.store
Last updated: February 2026
eBuy.store is committed to maintaining a fair and balanced marketplace for both sellers and buyers. This page explains how seller-related concerns, disputes, and enforcement matters are reviewed through structured, human-led processes.
This page is informational only. It does not guarantee outcomes, payouts, timelines, account status, or immunity from enforcement. All actions are subject to platform policies and administrative discretion.
Who this applies to
Seller review and protection processes apply to sellers who:
- Participate in transactions through the eBuy.store platform
- Complete required identity and compliance checks
- List items in accordance with platform rules and policies
Transactions or arrangements made outside the platform are not covered.
What seller protection means on eBuy.store
Seller protection refers to the availability of manual, evidence-based review processes, including:
- Opportunity to respond to disputes, claims, or complaints
- Consideration of seller-provided evidence
- Human oversight by support teams
- Escalation to platform administrators when required
Seller protection describes how issues are reviewed, not guaranteed results or entitlements.
Seller responsibilities
Sellers remain responsible for:
- Providing accurate descriptions and original listing images
- Listing only items they own or are legally authorised to sell
- Clearly disclosing replicas, reproductions, or altered items
- Packing and shipping sold items responsibly and in a timely manner
- Responding to buyer queries or disputes in good faith
- Complying with platform policies and applicable laws
Seller protection does not override seller obligations.
Expert review protections
Expert review is a protected platform resource.
- Listings approved by experts cannot be edited by sellers after approval
- If a seller deletes an expert-approved listing before sale, the listing is hidden immediately and retained for audit
- Seller-initiated deletion of expert-approved listings requires settlement of expert review charges via platform support
- Settlement terms are determined by the platform and may be waived at the platform’s discretion in exceptional cases
Handling disputes and buyer claims
When a dispute or claim is raised:
- Sellers may be asked to provide shipment records, images, or relevant communications
- Claims are reviewed individually and in context
- False, exaggerated, or unsupported claims are taken seriously
There are no automatic penalties, suspensions, or outcomes based solely on dispute counts.
Buyer reviews, ratings, and fair assessment
After a transaction is completed, buyers may be able to leave reviews or ratings related to the seller and the transaction. If enabled, ratings use a 1-5 star score tied to completed orders.
Seller protection includes safeguards against misuse of reviews, including:
- Reviews intended to harass, threaten, or coerce sellers
- Reviews submitted while a dispute is under review
- Reviews containing demonstrably false statements or unrelated allegations
Sellers may report reviews they believe violate platform policies. All review-related concerns are assessed manually, based on evidence and policy alignment. There is no guarantee that a reported review will be removed or altered.
Protection against false or abusive claims
To maintain marketplace integrity:
- Repeated or knowingly false claims may trigger internal review
- Abusive, threatening, or manipulative behaviour is not permitted
- Patterns of misuse may result in enforcement action against the reporting party
These measures help ensure sellers are not unfairly penalised.
Enforcement and seller status decisions
Where necessary, enforcement actions may include:
- Listing restrictions
- Selling limitations
- Operational-only access
- Account suspension or termination
All enforcement actions are manual, proportionate, and policy-based. There is no automatic suspension or penalty based solely on disputes or complaints.
Payouts and financial handling
- Seller payouts may be temporarily held during dispute, risk, or compliance review
- Holds or adjustments may be applied to protect marketplace integrity
- No payout timelines or payout amounts are guaranteed
All financial handling follows the Payments, Refunds & Payout Policy.
Off-platform activity
eBuy.store does not provide protection for:
- Transactions completed outside the platform
- Direct payments or private arrangements
- Deals conducted via phone, messaging apps, or social media
Sellers assume full responsibility for off-platform activity.
No guarantees or entitlements
Seller protection does not mean:
- Guaranteed dispute outcomes
- Guaranteed payouts or payout timing
- Guaranteed account status
- Guaranteed immunity from enforcement actions
All decisions remain subject to platform policies and administrative discretion.
