Seller Enforcement & Suspension Policy
This Seller Enforcement & Suspension Policy explains how eBuy.store manages seller conduct, risk, and compliance on the Platform. It defines enforcement principles, seller status categories, and administrative authority. This policy is designed to protect buyers, maintain marketplace integrity, and preserve eBuy.store's role as an intermediary.
1. Purpose of this policy
The purpose of this policy is to:
- Establish clear expectations for seller conduct
- Enable proportionate, risk-based enforcement
- Protect the Platform from fraud, abuse, and non-compliance
- Preserve administrative discretion and operational continuity
This policy does not guarantee outcomes or create contractual rights for sellers.
2. Enforcement principles
All seller enforcement actions are governed by the following principles:
- Manual review first: No automatic suspensions or penalties
- Admin authority: All final decisions rest with platform administration
- Proportional response: Actions are calibrated to risk and behaviour
- Operational continuity: Pending obligations may be allowed to complete
- Confidentiality: Enforcement reasons are not publicly disclosed
3. Seller status categories
Sellers may be placed into one or more of the following internal status categories:
a. Active
- Seller may list, sell, and transact normally.
b. Listing restricted
- Seller may not create new listings.
- Existing approved listings may remain visible at admin discretion.
c. Sell restricted
- Seller may not complete new sales.
- Listing visibility may be limited or hidden.
d. Operational-only
- Seller access is limited to fulfilling pending obligations (e.g., shipping or responding to disputes).
- New listings and sales are disabled.
e. Suspended
- Seller account access is blocked.
- Listings are hidden or removed from public view.
Status assignments are internal and discretionary.
4. Grounds for enforcement
Seller enforcement actions may be taken for reasons including, but not limited to:
- Repeated or serious policy violations
- Submission of misleading, false, or prohibited listings
- Failure to fulfil transactions in good faith
- Abuse of dispute or refund mechanisms
- Attempts to circumvent Platform processes
- Legal, regulatory, or risk concerns
The existence of a concern does not require proof beyond reasonable administrative judgment.
5. Dispute patterns and risk indicators
- eBuy.store may internally track validated disputes and behavioural patterns.
- Such tracking is used solely for risk assessment and eligibility review.
- Dispute counts or risk indicators are not publicly visible and do not trigger automatic action.
Any enforcement action remains subject to manual admin review.
6. Shipment delays and operational handling
- Sellers are expected to ship sold items in a timely manner.
- Shipment timeframes shown on the Platform are informational only.
- Delays may result in internal flags, reminders, or review.
Shipment delays alone do not automatically result in suspension, cancellation, or refund.
7. Enforcement actions
Depending on circumstances, admin may take one or more of the following actions:
- Issue warnings or guidance
- Restrict listings or sales
- Place seller in operational-only mode
- Hold or delay payouts
- Suspend or terminate seller accounts
Actions may be taken with or without prior notice, where necessary to protect the Platform.
8. No public disclosure
- Enforcement actions and reasons are confidential.
- Buyers are not entitled to detailed explanations of seller enforcement decisions.
- Sellers may not publicly represent enforcement outcomes in a misleading manner.
9. No waiver and no entitlement
- Failure to enforce a rule in one instance does not waive the right to enforce it later.
- Sellers have no entitlement to continued access, listing privileges, or reinstatement.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect:
- Platform governance changes
- Risk management improvements
- Legal or regulatory requirements
Updates become effective upon publication.
