This Content, Media & IP Usage Policy governs the creation, submission, use, and ownership of all content, images, media, and intellectual property used on the eBuy.store platform. This policy exists to prevent fraud, misrepresentation, and intellectual property violations, and to protect eBuy.store from legal claims arising from user-generated content.
1. Purpose of this policy
The purpose of this policy is to:
- Ensure that listings accurately represent items offered for sale
- Prevent use of stolen, scraped, or misappropriated content
- Clarify ownership responsibility for uploaded materials
- Protect eBuy.store from third-party intellectual property claims
This policy does not imply verification of ownership or authenticity by eBuy.store.
2. User-generated content responsibility
All listings, images, descriptions, videos, and other materials uploaded to the Platform are user-generated content. The user who uploads content:
- Represents that they own the item or have legal rights to sell it
- Represents that they have lawful rights to use all uploaded content
- Accepts full responsibility for the accuracy and legality of such content
eBuy.store does not independently verify ownership of items or media.
3. Prohibited content sources
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Images copied from the internet, marketplaces, auction sites, or forums
- Images taken from social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, X, etc.)
- Stock photos, catalog images, or third-party promotional material
- Images or descriptions belonging to collectors, dealers, museums, or institutions without explicit permission
Listings using such content may be removed immediately.
4. Item ownership and possession representation
By listing an item, the seller represents and warrants that:
- The item is currently owned or lawfully controlled by the seller
- The item is available for sale at the time of listing
- The item is not listed on behalf of another party without disclosure and authority
Listing items not owned, not possessed, or not legally saleable is prohibited.
5. Counterfeit, replica, and misrepresentation rules
- Counterfeit, forged, or illegal items are prohibited.
- Replica or reproduction items must be clearly and prominently disclosed.
- Misleading descriptions, omission of material facts, or deceptive imagery are violations.
Expert opinions do not override seller responsibility.
6. License granted to eBuy.store
By uploading content, users grant eBuy.store a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to:
- Host, display, reproduce, and distribute content
- Use content for platform operations, moderation, and dispute handling
This license terminates only when content is permanently removed, except where retention is required for legal or audit purposes.
7. Intellectual property infringement claims
If a third party claims that content or a listing infringes their rights:
- eBuy.store may remove or restrict the content without notice
- The seller is solely responsible for resolving the claim
- eBuy.store may share seller information where legally required
eBuy.store does not act as an arbitrator of IP ownership.
8. Indemnification
Sellers and users agree to fully indemnify and hold harmless eBuy.store from:
- IP infringement claims
- Ownership disputes
- Misrepresentation or fraud allegations
- Legal costs, damages, or penalties arising from user content
This indemnity survives account termination.
9. Enforcement actions
Violations of this policy may result in:
- Immediate content removal
- Listing or selling restrictions
- Account suspension or termination
- Referral to legal authorities where required
Enforcement actions are discretionary and final.
10. No verification or endorsement
eBuy.store:
- Does not verify item ownership or media rights
- Does not endorse listings or content
- Does not guarantee authenticity, legality, or availability
Users rely on listings at their own risk.
11. No waiver
Failure to enforce this policy in one instance does not waive the right to enforce it in future cases.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect:
- Legal developments
- Platform risk controls
- Content governance improvements
Updates become effective upon publication.
